Geetha, a control and order loving Indian-American woman, finally has sex with Vehd one afternoon but things quickly turn messy when period blood stains her pristine couch and a fight erupts mid-coitus, causing her pent-up feelings spill over. Official selection at the SXSW 2020 Film Festival.

On this film, I had three main priorities. First, to highlight the sensuality of the action through the use of textures, especially the pillows and the couch. Second, to find a color palette that would contrast strongly with the bright red of the blood. And third, to use symbolic imagery in the apartment’s decoration to enhance the subtext of the narrative.
